Elmor AG – Precise Counting Since 1972
In 1972, while still a student, Rudolf Moll built his first counting machine for cyclamen seeds. The device was presented at a trade fair, where it quickly attracted interest. Soon after, the company elmor was founded.
For more than 50 years, today’s elmor AG (SA, Ltd.) has been developing and producing counting devices for a wide range of applications. From the beginning, the focus has been on one task: counting small parts accurately and reliably. To achieve this, elmor created its own robust and precise part sensor, which has been continuously improved over the years. This technology remains at the heart of our devices and forms the basis for a product line that is now used in many industries.

Our product range includes:
- elmor C1, a widely used, robust universal counter
- elmor C3, a computer-controlled counter regarded as one of the most sensitive devices on the market, capable of counting even the smallest seeds such as Arabidopsis thaliana
- elmor CX, a precision counting module designed for integration into packaging systems
- elmor C1 MAX, a counter with a large external feeding unit for larger parts
- C1 Pharma, a version of the C1 optimized for the pharmaceutical industry
- custom solutions, including counters with up to 25 parallel channels, devices for mixed products, and various counting and sorting systems
Although elmor devices were originally developed for the seed industry, they are now used in many other fields. These include the watch and jewelry industry, micro-mechanics, medical technology, entomology, the production of electrical connectors, and other sectors where precision is essential.
With additional equipment such as the popular elmor Filling Carousel and the elmor Packaging Machine, counted parts can be processed further. This allows portioning and dosing tasks to be carried out accurately, cost-effectively, and with minimal supervision.
elmor AG also offers customer-specific adaptations. Some of these special solutions have developed into independent product lines, including the SWS single weight sorters and the XY filling systems.
In 2012, the original sole proprietorship was converted into a corporation. elmor remains a family-run business with its production site in the heart of Switzerland.
